This ground up residence was designed for an acreage in Portland, Tennessee and pulls inspiration from the French countryside. The 4 bed, 3.5 bath sprawling home features a grand staircase at the entry, grand vaulted living space, and an eat in kitchen. Natural light spills throughout the entire home and each space has been designed with the end user in mind including two offices, three car garage, mudroom, bonus room, and “man cave”. Moments of grandeur are created through a collonade that looks into the living area, intentionality of art nooks, and a plan developed around two main axes encouraging sight lines throughout. The arched entry doors and windows, vaulted beams, and rafter tail detailing reinforce the whimsical nature of the design.
